Randzig, whats with the name?
Your likely wondering where the name randzig came from. I don’t have much of an explanation other than ask my brother in law Tito(Grant Chapin). Also ask him where Tito came from. I vaguely remember in 1996 needing to come up with an AOL screen name. My girlfriend now my wife was there with her brother Grant hanging out in my room. And out of blue he said “randzig”. Thus every since that time I’ve tried to make that my moniker on all the various places the web has to offer. Oh and if you know the guy that stole randzig @ aol.com away from me tell him to keep both eyes open at night.

What do you do?
I work in IT at Commerce Bank as a “Network Engineer”. Which means nothing more than I support the data center and its applications. No I can’t check your bank account. I know that was your first question:)
Real life
Besides working for the man I am married to a beautiful women Moreé. We have 2 boys Jet and Oliver.

Muzig
Some might think I’m a music snob but I just don’t see a point in listening to bad music. I love music. What do I listen to you ask? You know Spoon, Sigur Rios, Death Cab, Cold Play, Radio Head …you know all the stuff all the other post modern white guys that act like they have a clue whats going on listens to. ? I did play in a band for almost a decade. Does that mean my opinion matters more than yours? mmm, Yes, and your music choices suck. No I really do listen to that stuff I mentioned but not as often as I used to. I listen to everything. Which means anything and everything in between except “nu country or metal”. Mostly as of late past 3 years or so I’ve been into old timey music or anything that imitates it well. Anything authentic.

I love documentaries. What type you ask? Most all that are reasonable…but I love the unreasonable too I must admit. Well I am at least intrigued by them. I love them so much I literally have thought of starting a group who gets together bi weekly to watch them. I don’t think that is going to fly with the responsibilities of having a family. However at any given time I have a documentary I plan on watching but usually have a hard time getting around to.

This here blog
On this here blog I sound off on many topics that I’m thinking about or should be thinking about. As you can tell I get off on quoting people without citing them. Why? Because I can. And I figure if you really think I’m making stuff up you should investigate yourself. Keeps you vigilant. I also pay no mind to my spelling and grammatical errors other than what the spell check catches. Did I mean affect or effect?

I’m the type of blogger who blogs for myself. Which means that I don’t have fans and irregularly get comments from…my wife and a spammer. Its cool like that. I view this as a way for me to work through issues and post pictures of the kids when I’m feeling proud(I’m feeling proud alot). I posted why I blog a while back but I’ve found one of the strongest reasons I do it is because when I put something out there on the interwebs I’m held accountable to it. Whether its about eating, health, spiritual issues, new ideas it keeps me on the path I want to go. So come along!
