The color and feel of the cantaloupe and pumpkins were not progressing on the sides that were sitting on the ground, so I decided to put some wood underneath them to protect them from staying too moist. I have no clue if this is what is recommended but it made sense to me.

Oh and I was focusing so intently on not hitting our best pumpkin with the lawn mower that I did in fact hit it with the lawn mower.
As you can see the cantaloupe are coming along well. I’m happy with how the trellis tunnel has worked out for them.

The canteloupe just hang right down on the trellis so we had to come up with a way to support them so they don’t break off before we get to eat them. I got some of my grandma hose…I know not even funny. But we did get Morées and tied the melons up.

Last year we had a bumper crop of cucumbers. This year we’ve only had one to eat thus far. We are hoping that one right there will be two. The cucumber vine is taking all the light from the cuc’s.
