For a while now I have not blogged as much as I have wanted to because of the “labor” involved. If I was to come across a simple link I always felt strange just posting it without explanation. And the explanations tend to be too much work. Miniposts solves this problem. For me this is about the closest I’ll get to twittering. Minipost or Sideblog or Asides is a simple whereby I can post something that may interest some readers without it showing up in the main content area which I feel requires more effort on my behalf. These Minipost will show up on my sidebar to the right of the content area. So now if I want I feel more comfortable just throwing a link out at you. Pretty sweet. Hopefully this will increase the sweet linkage and also the quality post I provide to my parents readers.

Dude, yeah I love it. I started to use Sideblog but it was taking to much work to get it going.
One question while I got your attention. Can I use tags and categories on my minipost?…what about pictures? Is there a way to include a little icon like yours has?

Ok…so more than one question
You can assign categories/tags to a post, just like an ordinary post. They won’t be shown in the sidebar, but they will show up on the post page.
As to the pictures: they won’t be shown if you have the setting that strips HTML from posts in the sidebar.
And the little icon? Well, that’s a theme/CSS thing, so that’s up to you.
