It Is No Wonder

My coworker and good friend Sara has a side of her she doesn’t reveal much. She is an excellent poet. To be quite honest its one of those things that just reveals itself unexpectedly. For the longest time she had a blog but wouldn’t reveal(theres that word again) to anyone. I thought that was a little creepy…but its not. Check it out. The one below is about Christ return but I didn’t expect it because she is possibly converting to Islam(read here and here)….hmmm…or so she says.

It is no wonder we worry so much.

With all the things that happen today

Wars

Killings

Starvation

Disease

Can’t anyone help us please

We can’t pay our bills

We’re in over our heads

The thorns of roses

Rest in our beds

Rules to live by

Do this, do that

No time for freedom

Pulling tricks out of our hats

Fear of failure

Fear of success

What is this life

We’ve created a mess

School shootings

Too many drugs

Too much porn

Streets full of thugs

The rich, getting rich

The poor in despair

Nothing about this life

Really seems fair

Worried about family

Friends left behind

About a happiness

We can no longer find

Open a book & read

And we will see

Of all the things

That are yet to be

Lightening strikes

There is a loud noise

It’s too late now

To fix our poise

We’ve spent all this time

Worried about nothing

The time has come

To now worry about Something

And it is no wonder

This worried life we lead

Take a look around us

Souls starving for a Seed
