I woke up this morning with the sounds of Hawaiian slack key guitar playing via KKFI 90.1.  That put a little hop in my step.  Then the DJ said they were giving away tickets to the Led concert.  They said you had to be the third caller.  I was the 1st. Dangit! I knew I shouldn’t have hit the call button that quick.  It would have made for a good blog post but oh well, I figure people get a laugh out of my losses anyways.  I will be going to the concert and it will be good.  I’m not gonna lie if your idea of a good concert is G-Unit or Good Charlotte you may not enjoy it.  However if you have a general appreciation for musical ability….consider this your invite.  There are going to be several other notable players there also.  This is how they are promoting the event. 

Chet Atkins and Bob Dylan have both stated that 2005 Grammy Award winner Led Kaapana is simply the best musician alive in Hawaii. 

After being way to quick to call for the tickets I pulled into my local Wendy’s for their new breakfast.  I saw a ginormous balloon and a little girl dressed up as “Wendy”.  I never go for breakfast like that but today I just decided to do something different.  I pulled up and was going to pay for my food and the guy said, “No, its free”.  I looked at him like ”what chu talkin bout willis” and he looked back at me and said “For realz dog!”.  Actually he didn’t say that but thats how I took it.  So we gave each other a fist bump and fade back.  As I was driving off I looked back and saw that the balloon said “FREE BREAKFAST”.  Yeah guess I should have seen that.  My coworkers are mad because I didn’t call and tell them…but what can I say.  I did call Shaunas boyfriend to let him know but mostly I just called to wake him up because I knew he’d be sound asleep.  I’m so considerate.

And speaking of Hawaii!  The inlaws got another notice in the mail stating that there are more available lots in Maui.  Your saying sooooo?  OK I’ll backup….The DHHL(Department of Hawaiian Homelands) is giving away free land to native Hawaiians if you are at least a 1/2 Hawaiian.  I know you thunk I was Hawaiian right? Nope I’m bonafied Osage Indian.  One of my relatives was Cheif of the Osage Indians.  My island is bigger.  Anyways you can see on this google map where the lots that are currently available are located.  Moree trying to convince me to go visit because May 12 is an orientation meeting.  Here is the PDF that explains it.
