Yesterday I was standing on the street corner outside my work when a strange Tahoe (like the one pictured) drove by. It said something like Facet on the side and I thought to myself,”thats a strange truck…and it says Facet.” Then as it drove off I saw the Windows Live Local on the back and I knew what it was.
Much like the infamous google maps, Microsoft also has a mapping site. A new feature they will be unrolling is a street side view along with the map. You can see what it will look like here. Basically all this truck does is drive around taking loads of pictures of the street. You can see it has several cameras on top. Whats funny is that for a second I thought the truck said Facet on the side so I thought they were displaying PVC peices on the top. Guess not.
