The short story is that my hard drive did not crash. I still have all those mp3′s, photos, and other documents. For the long story continue reading.
I want to say thanks to David and Stan of Ferguson Computer Services. Although I didn’t pay for any of their services they were very helpful in answering questions and offering suggestions. I learned a lot I didn’t know from working with them. And coincidently they operate .3 miles or 48seconds away from me(according to google maps).
Also mucho gracias to my friend Jason Egli who helped work on the drive. I met Jason in college and we worked on our senior project together at the American Royal. Jason owns his own tech support company Integrity Computer Services. He is 22 and he owns his own business. It’s legit not like your mowing company
. He has got to be the most eligable bachelor I know, so any ladies interested need to contact him. haha I kid I kid! We’ll I’m a little serious because I don’t think Chipotle was enough payback.
Anyways we were performing a “forced clone” with Norton Ghost when we realized that we were recovering quite a bit of data. After a little troubleshooting we realized the USB card was shot. My drive and all its data was perfectly fine. I was very happy with that.
Also this weekend I spent a lot of time with my brother in law Grant and his wife Katie. Grant left today to prepare for his deployment to Japan. His assignment is for 3 years with a small possibility he’ll be able to go back to El Paso early to finish his service. Moreé and I will miss Grant tons. Its always fun to have him around. I’m proud of him for what he is doing. We will also be missing Katie but we will get to spend a little more time with her before Grant gets the homestead in order in Japan. I’ll write more about this soon.
