Head On

There is one tv commercial I think we can all agree grabs your attention.  Its repeativeness reals you in but also severly irritates.  According to some experts they think this advertising method is brilliant.  While others find it a source for comedic releif.  I would be in the severly irritated group.
“Head on, Apply directly to [...]

Corn fed car

The chances that the price of gas are coming down anytime soon is pretty small.  Our FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily) is a flex fuel vehicle meaning that it can take ethanol and unleaded mix. So, Moree says to me.  “Can we make our own ethanol”, and I reply “No” in my duh tone of voice.
I guess I should [...]

Curb side dining

A Lee’s Summit couple was featured on Today.  According to Today, curb side dining is a healthier way to eat out.  They say because you don’t order a drink the calories are reduced.  So not only do these people eat healthier they take that “to go” parking spot I always want at 54th Street.
Carside To Go [...]

The world can keep turning…

I’ve been concerned quite some time about something.  This report clears everything up.  Now I can continue to wear my puff paint shirts with a turtle neck underneath proudly.  I never stopped wearing my jordache jeans.

Romans 7

Scott McKnight recently posted regarding Romans 7 which is often debated.  I have been fotunate enough to have a good teacher to clarify the often misunderstood chapter.  My friend Eric Connell was in seminary at the time he was leading our weekly night Bible study and I have outlined the basics as I understand them.

I Wish You Were Here…

Syd Barrett died today. You can read about it here.

You probably don’t know that Syd Barrett was the original founder of Pink Floyd. He went “insane” after the band released their first album.  I watched a documentary about the guy.  It was very interesting and a little disturbing.  From what the documentary said he was loved by [...]

Trash talk’n and headbutts

I was unable to see the final game of the world cup as I was at work.(yes I work on Sundays) After I saw this clip I was pretty much sickened by the game. Zidane is a loser and yet he won the Golden Ball award for the tournament’s best player? Supposedly [...]

IPOD PNEUMONIA and the boogie woogie blues..

While the IPOD is by far superior in physical design, if I had it my way I would have never got an IPOD.  Unfortunately it is IMHO the best large storage MP3 device.  I’m not a mac hater but I find that Steve Jobs pride filters all the way down to his products.  That may or [...]
