About October I decided to take part in an internet marketing thing called Free Pay. Free Pay offers “free” products if you sign up for one of their offers. I was trying to get an Ipod. Offers from people like blockbuster, reaplayer. So I signed up and got all my referals and they put my account on hold. I actually got one extra but they put that account on hold also. So basicaly No Ipod. Although that upset me I was cool with it. I mean I wanted an Ipod, but who doesn’t? Many people helped me by completing an offer. Some of them forgot to cancel so they got charged. I appreciate the help they offered.
Recently after work I met Morée and my dad for dinner at Chipotle. This was a fathers day meal and I was happy enough to get to spend that time with them. While eating my perfectly delicious wrap from heaven Morée handed me a fathers day card. The card had a Best Buy gift certificate with it. I was happy and told her thankyou….then she gave me another package and said this is for you also. Totaly surprised I opened the package to see a new Black video Ipod. Man that was a REALLY good surprise. Apple knows how to market that thing. The packaging alone is very attractive.
So now I got an Ipod. I’m still a little shocked. I have already been able to use it to display a slide show at Jets first birthday. Thats a feature I didn’t know it had. Now I just gotta load hundreds of peculiar mexican ranchero, jazz, standards, hawaiian slack key, bluegrass and the ocasional Cardigans, Nada Surf, Foo Fighters cds. Lots of work but it will be plenty worth it. Also can’t forget the Norah Jones so Morée can pretend she sings just like her.
Oh and I hope this will be a sign that I haven’t completely lost touch with modern culture.(which I have been accused of)

ConGRATS on the iPod! Sounds like you got a U2 addition. My Dad got one of those a couple of years ago from the church (not video, sadly) and he was like, “Who’s signatures are these on the back??” Hilarious. Silly Maywood. Greg just lost his “pod,” it was one of the first edition ones and everyone used to gock at it like it was an antique. Maybe I’ll get him a video pod someday.

Yeah, by the way the whole thing about getting a free IPOD by simply filling out a few forms and signing up for free material has really cost me my pocket book. Thanks Randy my wife has no idea how to cancel those silly things. And by the way I still haven’t recieved a free IPOD. I’m down right ticked…LOL JK Peace in the Middle East!
